Lessons
2007-2008
Welcome to the lessons page of our website, here you will find a directory of the lesson plans that we have developed. These lessons are designed to be flexible and to allow teachers the ability to make these lessons relevant to their own classroom. Each lesson page will have a detailed lesson plan that allows teachers to understand how the provided resources can be used, in addition, each page will also have a PowerPoint presentation that provides teachers and/or students with some general background information. You may also find a link to an activity/recording sheet that may be used with the lesson plan that is provided.
Some of these lessons utilize documents and photos that are not included within this website, if you would like to access these resources, please contact us and we will get the cd out to you as soon as possible. The Bert Shepperd Library is home to thousands of photographs and other primary source material that can bring history to life in any classroom setting. If you are looking for something in particular (ie: community histories, information on early settlers, and early photos) please to not hesitate to contact us and we will try and accomodate your request the best we can.
